Klaudia Marr Gallery on Canyon Road in Santa Fe will present a solo exhibition of Scheinman's new mixed media paintings, May 16 - June 8. You are cordially invited to a reception for the artist on May 16, 2008. The May edition of American Art Collector magazine (Issue 31) has a feature story on Scheinman's work, Copper as Canvas, p. 192-195, with 5 color reproductions of her work and a picture of the artist in her studio. The article was written by editor, Joshua Rose. The Spring/Summer issue of Trend art+design+architecture magazine also has a feature on Scheinman's work on page 150. A full page ad for her show at Klaudia Marr Gallery in May appears in the current issue of Four Corners Magazine, as well as Trend. Two major works of art were recently purchased for the new St. Joseph's Hospital Cancer Institute and Breast Center in Towson, MD. Scheinman was chosen to create experiential color and sculptural learning environments for the entire new campus of The Lincoln Center, a school in Bridgeport, PA outside of Philadelphia. The job is in collaboration with RHJ Architects, and the campus will open on Aug. 15, 2008 Her latest educational installation project was recently published in a book by Gary Grenier, Dr. Andrew Ross and Frank Kros, as well as in American School and University Magazine where it won a national award for an Experiential Learning Environment. In October 2008 Heineman Myers Contemporary Art in Bethesda, Maryland will feature Scheinman's work in a solo exhibition. Scheinman's work has recently been acquired by two prestigious collections, The Sheppard Pratt Collection in Baltimore, MD and the DC Commission on Arts and Humanities Art Bank that supplies artwork for various U.S. government agencies. |
